The FAQ's - Frequently asked questions
How do I book you?
After a creative call or email exchange you can book me online. A non refundable deposit is due at time of booking. If you have to cancel the session, the session can be rescheduled and the deposit can be applied toward a future session.
What do it get when I book you?
My rates include my creative fee and post production.Depending on the package you have selected it covers all the hours involved of processing, editing, color correction and, if necessary, subtle PhotoShop retouch. If applicable, it may also include my artistic counsel and supervision for choosing your favorite images, curating a selection for printing and framing, prepping them for printing and framing and supervising the process all the way. Final product will be drop shipped directly to you.
Do you travel for photo shoots?
Yes, I travel for photo shoots. I am available for national and international travel upon request. Please note that travel is not included in the pricing for our collections. The travel quote is added to your selected collection, and I usually handle all of my own travel arrangements unless otherwise noted.
How do I prepare my dog for the session?

Are you shooting on location only?
Yes, at this point I am exclusively shooting on location as I don't have a studio.
How long does a session with you take?
I don't have a time limit for my sessions, it depends on so many factors but plan at least for an hour and a half.
Can I customize my collection?
Yes, you can opt for a Bespoke session. Please email me so we can discuss.
What equipment do you use?
I use both analog and digital cameras for the Definitely Canine sessions.
My preferred brand is Canon paired with various prime lenses and for analog photography I use a Contax 645 medium format film camera with a 80 mm 2.0 Zeiss lens.
How will my photographs be delivered?
Your high resolution images will be delivered in a personalized and password protected online gallery.
The final images are send as proofs and post in the online gallery are a curated selection from your session. Only the highest quality images from each session are uploaded. All final images are individually edited.
How many images will I get?
It depends. I am not shooting for volume but to create images that are meant to be printed and framed.
Do I have to order prints through you?
You don't have to order prints to me. However, I can give you recommendations where to print.
Do you also photograph other animals?
Yes, I photograph other animals and their unique personalities as as well, although not as frequently as I photograph dogs. In the past I have photographed goats, felines, hens, sheep, and Joe the hamster. I am welcoming all of the animal kingdom to step in front of my lens.
